Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has introduced a new license at a price of $1,500 per year (Dh5,500) for startups, entrepreneurs and tech firms from various industries.
The DIFC Innovation License offers access to freezone co-working space with a flexi desk space for $500 a month.
DIFC Innovation Business License will be accessible to all start-ups, investors and tech firms, providing a tremendous opportunity to develop, expand and upgrade their creative businesses to tap the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) markets via Dubai.
DIFC is the major financial free zone in the UAE and is home to over 100 technology and start-up companies.
DIFC has accelerator program FinTech Hive and FinTech Fund to bring new startups closer to experienced players who are looking to leverage in on new talent and innovation to promote emerging startups and the fintech industry.
DIFC has seen steady growth in 2019 adding more than 250 new companies in the first half of the year.
This has stimulated the emergence of more than 660 jobs, raising the total workforce of the Center to more than 24,000 people, resulting in the occupancy of 99% of DIFC-owned buildings.
